well thank you. and yea if im corrrect a news reporter called it goth and the fans went along with it? to be honest it was hard to learn things cos all the ppl i met were elitist about it cos im also a metalhead and a juggalo so they didnt teach me shit. and my ex's mom had mental problems due to a botched cancer treatment so she just kinda told me the bands she liked and my ex and i listened to them. i found out most of this on my own with the help of a few nice ppl.

I just don't buy into this elitist thing. You are interested in a few genres of music, and that will probably open you up to other genres in the future. You're ahead of your your friends. I'm sorry about your ex's mom, my husband is going through chemo now and it is hell. I added "Swans" in my favourites for you to take a listen to, as well as my favourite Siouxie song . i loved the book the hunger and i loved the movie because the book was really scary and weird i couldnt stop reading it for days as for the movie it wasnt anything like the book but, oh well most movies based on novels are ever true to the novel but, i liked it as well because david bowie was in it.
