almost everybody loves Eric Clapton, no question about it. I like Clapton too, but I think he is very overrated.. you always know how his guitarsolos are going to sound like before he even starts.. And when it comes to songwriting clapton seems to prefer covering others insted.

It's so strange that everyone compares Cale and Clapton. Two great musicians play two great versions of J.J.'s song. It's comparing apples to oranges and is a waste of time. Clapton recognizes what a genius Cale is. Cale recognizes what a genius Clapton is. But only the small minded argue about it. The only thing that's for sure is that either of them is a better musician than any of us!
