Generally speaking, the majority of the swing scene is white. There are however, some prominent black swing dance instructors. Manu from San Francisco, and Steven Mitchell (who was the choreographer for Swing Kids).
There's been a lot of online debate about why this is the case, especially since Lindy Hop came out of the black community living in Harlem. Regardless, most Lindy Hoppers welcome people of all races . . . as long as they love the dance the love!
