For one, the background of the song is electronic itself, purposely. Also, how about reading into the lyrics?
For example, if this song was really about hating techno, why would clay George Bush would have done the intro?
Is it really such a stretch to think that this song might be about stupidly, blindly accepting what you're being told? By your government, maybe?

I gotta say this is a pretty silly song (i like as much as i dont want to lol) many people dont like techno because it absolutely OWNS rock. Techno has better beat, better music, and it fixes up the gay songs of the past lol. majority of people like rock, so it wins with more ppl (still living in the stone age), but deep down we all know techno is the music of the future, and we all know it sounds 100X better that rock. I'm not even gonna mention rap because that genre is just disgusting.

true, rap sucks, and techno to most people sounds cooler and has a heavier beat. the thing is that people who play rock have deep meaning. punk rock has very deep meaning, same with reggae(sublime) and especially nirvana. with techno its all about fun, which is fine, but most rock has deep meaning, and we live in the stoneage because the guitar is so much more difficult than using computer sounds, and its like a huge deep lifelong accomplishment to play guitar and have meaningful songs.
