one time last summer i was with my friends and the ride broke down when we were at the top of the hill with the goat and the cast member let us watch the fireworks before unloading us, it was pretty awesome. Then we got to walk through all these cool tunnels to get out.

Its because they have slowed it down when going down hills. The front eases down and then once the front is about a third of the way down, it releases the rest.

my bff and i recorded this ride and man her face was hilarious! i loved september 22 cuz thats the day we went and it was soooo much fun! i think we went on this ride like 4times and space mtn like 4 times and splash mtn 3 times!! ahh endless memories. oh also i wish i could go again for my b-day!!!!

When I got on Thunder mountain I got on at about fireworks time, and on the last drop we were coming down and you hear like a gunshot and this flash in the sky. The fireworks started when we were on the ride, so we were on the ride with a light show!!!
