i dont wanna knock this band cos its a really good sign that theres a primarily black band in the mainstream not playing the stereotypical "black music." but i cant tell if theyre just smart and know that kids today (apart from the metal crowd, and then its the reverse) cant appreciate music if its too complicated or they just like playing really boring songs. maybe its like bob dylan and the focus is on the lyrics? but i dont know what hes saying tho..

Listen to the cd Return to Cookie Mountain, they simplify and give their music a much more rock sound for live performances. Their cds are masterpieces in terms of production quality. Great band.

i dont think you read my whole statement. im not talking about what race typically listens to what, im talking about what the mainstream media allows to be represented. how many black guitarists have you seen on mtv? how many white rappers? how many females not in a sexual context or playing an instrument for that matter? im saying its good when the mainstream allows for the atypical. its rare. normally its their job to perpetuate stereotypes. just dont care for the music in this case.
